Assessment of Goal Orientations from the “Person-Situation Interaction” Perspective

The objective of this study is twofold: to analyze the role different task situations in activation goals and goal orientations and, make it possible achieve such an support theoretically, develop, previously validate Situated Goals Questionnaire for secondary high school students (SGQ-SHS). A total 1,010 Secondary High School Students from Madrid (Spain) participated study. Data analysis using confirmatory techniques, as well ANOVA regression showed effect type on degree which declare pursue – suggested by person-situation interaction model –, relationship between goals, expectancies, self-regulation styles, validity measures developed predicting achievement (self-estimated mean grade).
